Application: It is widely used as intermediates of pharmacy and photosensitive material.  

It is used as an important pesticide intermediates, it’s mainly used to synthesize the aryl pyrrolecarbonitrile insecticides and fungicides, which is more important is insecticide, acaricide - Chlorfenapyr nitrile (also known as divisible).
